Jorgen immigrated to Canada from Denmark in 1957. In the early sixties a serious interest in photography led him to apprentice with widely acclaimed master photographer, Lou Wilson. Over time Klausen abandoned commercial photography altogether and began to explore an expression of photography as fine art. Klausen chooses to work primarily in black and white as this medium allows him to exercise maximum control in the darkroom while developing prints. Jorgen Klausen has been exhibiting his photographs for many years. He has been recipient of several Canadian photography awards and his work has been featured in many publications. Shows & Awards: |
